(Vijayalakshmi Balakrishnan began her career in journalism and has spent the past 15+ years in evidence-based social development programme planning and design, working both in India, and overseas. She has a Masters degree in Development Studies, from the Institute of Social Studies, The Hague and a post graduate diploma in social journalism from the Times School.)

CWDS Calendar 2012

Centre for Women's Development Studies announces the re-appearance of its calendar based on archival photographs of Indian women in the pre-Independence period.

You can order it with Ravinder or pick up copies at People Tree, The Book Shop, Jor Bagh, and from January 1, at the CHIRAG stall at Dastakari Haat, Dilli Haat. Please do take a look at the great weaves and special knitted caps, neck, sweaters and toys at the stall as well - all produced by Kumaoni village women.
